Dr. Tajana Simetić, is a research associate at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sciences, Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Environmental Protection, Chair of Chemical Technology and Environmental Protection. Her scientific research focuses on drinking water quality and treatment with special emphasis on the photochemical advanced oxidation processes application for natural organic matter and specific organic micropollutants removal, and subsequent formation of oxidation/disinfection by-products in water. She is the co-author of 4 publications in scientific journals of international importance (SCIe listed). She realized her scientific work through participation in projects funded by the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, projects financed by the Provincial Secretariat for Science and Technological Development of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the International project (EUREKA). She is a member of the professional associations: Serbian Chemical Society, Association for Water Technology and Sanitary Engineering, Association for Young Water Professionals Serbia and EDEN Association (Educational Center for Environmental Protection).
